2. Green Tea for Rosacea

Green tea can work in two ways. You can use either method or both. One is external application and the other is internal conception.

Replace your daily tea with green tea. If you are not a tea drinker then begin to drink green tea. It will not only help you to improve your skin but also help you to reduce stress. Green tea has many health benefits so you can't go wrong with it.

On the external front you can apply green tea cream. Applying green tea creams twice a day has been proven effective in reducing rosacea flareup in many cases.

You can also use green tea as a cleanser. It has anti-inflammatory capabilities. Soak a cotton ball in green tea and gently dab it on your entire face. Keep it for 5 minutes and wash your face with cold water. Make sure that the water is just slightly colder than the room temperature.

3. Eat Yogurt to Control Rosacea

Yogurt with its probiotic properties helps to maintain good stock of healthy bacteria in your guts. This helps in good skin health. It is not just about rosacea, eating yogurt regularly helps all sorts of skin and other digestion related problems.

Eat at least 200gm of yogurt daily to maintain good skin. Have patience and avoid the triggers and your rosacea should disappear within two weeks.

4. WheatGrass for Rosacea

Wheatgrass is a very potent nutrient. It has many health benefits to treat difficult to cure diseases such as cancer. In the case of rosacea, we want to drink a glass of wheatgrass juice daily early in the morning.

You can drink it empty stomach. You can also add wheatgrass in your salad. Chewing wheatgrass is more powerful than drinking juice.

5. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a very healthy food item in many different ways. It is heart healthy, reduces cholesterol as well as good for your skin. With its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties it helps to reduce redness, itching and inflammation caused by rosacea.

You should eat oatmeal for breakfast as well as topically apply oatmeal on your skin. You can soak oatmeal in the water for one hour before gently applying it on your skin.

Do not rub it. Just apply it on the facial skin. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash your skin with cool water and pat it dry with a towel. Do it twice or thrice daily to get the best results.

6. Honey

Like oatmeal honey is also a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agent. In addition it is antimicrobial. Honey also keeps the skin moisturized. You can gently massage honey on your face and leave it there for 30 minutes before washing your face with cool water.

It will reduce inflammation and redness caused by rosacea.

In addition to the above, you can also use white vinegar for cleansing. White vinegar soaks in water ( 1 part vinegar to 6-10 parts of water is a good dilution ratio) also works very well to get rid of rosacea flare ups.

Vinegar has natural disinfectant so decreases the number of yeasts and bacteria on the skin.

Vinegar can also flare up rosacea in many people, therefore you need to test it in a smaller portion of skin before using it on the entire rosacea affected area. You will also have to try different dilution ratios to ensure that it suits your skin type.

All the above natural remedies take 6-8 weeks to start showing significant results. The best results will come when you eat healthy and avoid all the triggers which cause rosacea.

Additional Precautions for Rosacea

You are dealing with sensitivities of skin here, therefore whatever you do do it gently. Even when you wash your face, do not rub the facial skin aggressively. Do it gently. The blood vessel underneath the outer skin can get agitated and give rise to rosacea flareup.

Do Not expose your skin to direct sunlight. Wear sunscreen if you have to be in the sun. In some people even sunscreen can flare up rosacea. So know your skin and deal with rosacea accordingly.

Rosacea requires special attention. Sensitivity of the skin leads to flare up in the presence of irritants. Therefore all natural products must be gentle to the skin.

That is why most chemical products do not work well on rosacea, but natural remedies really helps. It takes time, but well worth it.
