White spots on the skin

How to Get Rid of White Spots on Skin

White patches on skin or Vitiligo spoils the aesthetics. They are embarrassing, particularly when these white spots appear on the generally uncovered parts of the body, such as on the face, around the mouth and lips and on the arms, hands, legs and feet. White patches do appear on the back and chest and almost the entire body.

Vitiligo is very different than the white scaly patches caused by skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. All kinds of white patches can be removed with the help of different home remedies.

It is believed that white patches are caused by autoimmune disorders that may be attacking the melanin producing cells of the skin. Other speculations are that excessive exposure to sunlight, too much stress and certain deficiencies of vitamins causes white patches on the skin. Genetics can also play a role in it.
