Following are many different ways to remove blemishes at home without resorting to costly visits to dermatologists.

1. Learn to Prevent Blemishes

It is the most commonsensical approach. If you can prevent it, you don't have to deal with it. Acne, blackheads and whiteheads all will appear on your face with oily skin during growing up age or even later. Treat them well. Don't pick your acne or forcefully remove blackheads and white heads.

Once you take these basic precautions then chances are that you will not get blemishes on your face.

2. Reduce Sun Exposure

Harsh sun rays can damage sensitive skin progressively. If you have acne then the sun rays will irritate your acne. Any infection caused by acne will end up in blemishes. So avoid harsh sunlight. Don't go out between 9:00am and 5:00pm when sun rays are harsh.

if you have to go out then use sunscreen with SPF above 15 to protect you skin.

3. Use Water Based Skin Care Products

You have to be extra careful in taking care of you sensitive and oily skin. Using water based skin care products on oily skin is a good practice. If you use calamine based creams then it will help in absorbing the oil from your skin and make your skin look better.

Wash you skin with water 4-5 times every day. This will regularly clear your pores. You can use a mild soap if required, otherwise plain water is good enough.

4. Cold Compress

Any inflammation or swellings on the acne infested area must be immediately reduced to ensure no blemishes are formed. Cold compress does a very good job of both reducing inflammation and swelling.

  • Wrap a couple of ice cubes in a washcloth.
  • Dab on the affected area by pressing the ice on the skin and leaving it for a minute then lifting it for 15 seconds and press again for one minute.
  • do it for 10 minutes.

5. Sandalwood Lotion

Sandalwood keeps your skin cool and dry. Make a sandalwood paste by adding a few drops of rose water in a teaspoon of sandalwood powder. Apply the paste on the affected area. Leave it there for 30 minutes and wash it with water.

You can use a few drops of glycerin if you find the sandalwood paste too dry for your skin.

6. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is one of the oldest remedies to get rid of skin blemishes. You can apply fresh Aloe Vera gel on your face 2-3 times a day.

  • Was your face with water and dry with a towel
  • apply fresh aloe Vera gel on entire face
  • leave it on the face for 30-60 minutes
  • wash your face with water to remove the dried gel

7. Orange Peel

Orange peel has been used for ages to get rid of blemishes on the facial and other skin in the body. Grind and mins fresh orange peel to make a paste. Apply on the blemishes.

You can store orange peel by drying them out and making powder. Add water to make a paste and apply it to the blemishes.
