Even the first degree burn can turn into severe infection so basic first aid must be immediately practiced which are all simple remedies.

1. Water

If nothing else is available then use cold water to soothe your burning tongue. Rinse with cold water for a few minutes.

Wet a clean cloth with cool water and hold it for some time.

2. Ice

Suck ice chips for a few minutes. Put an ice cube on your tongue and just suck. This will numb the area and pain will subside.

3. Plain Yogurt

Eat cool Yogurt immediately after getting your tongue burned. Make sure that the Yogurt is plain yogurt. Flavored yogurt may not be as suitable. Your is antibiotic so reduces chances of getting infected.

4. Sugar

Put some plain white sugar on the burning tongue. Let it dissolve. This is a good home remedy for burning tongue to heal it.

5. Honey

Honey does the same job as the sugar does but honey is much better due to its antibiotic capabilities.

Tale a spoonful of honey in your mouth and let it stay on the burned tongue area. Let it melt on its own. If required consume another spoonful in the same way.
