How to Use Coconut for Chapped Lips

You don't have to buy any chemical based lip treatment when you can simply use natural products such as virgin coconut oil to repair the dry and chapped lips. Natural remedies for such skin conditions are more powerful without any side effects.

 

Simple Method to Use Coconut oil

You can use coconut oil with ease as your all in one solution for dry and chapped lips.

1. As a Lip Scrub

Add common salt or baking soda in coconut oil and mix. You can scrub your lips with this mixture before applying coconut oil as moisturizer.

Take the coconut oil salt mixture or coconut oil baking soda mixture in a cotton ball. Dab it on your lips and gently rub in circular motion.

Rinse your lips with water and you are to apply moisturizer.

2. Coconut Oil as Moisturizer

Coconut oil with tons of nutrients, minerals and vitamins is a great moisturizer.

 

After using the lip Scrub and rinsing your lips, apply coconut oil on your lips. Keep it there if 30 minutes and wash off with water.

Do it 2-3 times a day. You don't have to lip scrub every time. Scrubbing once per day is really enough.

3. Night Moisturizer for Chapped Lips

Before going to bed, wash your face and lips. You can apply coconut oil on the entire face including your lips.

Leave it there overnight. Wash it off in the morning.

If you prefer, you can add Aloe vera or olive oil for the night application.
