It is one of the best ways to treat brittle nails. Gently massage your nails twice a day for 10-15 minutes every time.

2. Olive Oil Soak

You can begin to see the improvement in your brittle nails overnight with this simple yet very effective home remedy. Take a teaspoon of olive oil, add a few drops of lemon juice and thoroughly mix it. Keep the mixture in the teaspoon and soak your infected nail in the olive oil lemon juice mixture for 5 minutes. If you have more than one nail brittle then repeat the process for each nail. Then massage the nails for 5 minutes.

Do this daily before going to bed.

3. Coconut Oil Dips

Coconut oil is anti fungal oil. The saturated fats in the oil act as a moisturizer. Warm coconut oil and dip your finger nail into the oil for 5 minutes. Make sure that the oil is warm enough to feel warm but not too hot to burn your fingers.

Massage finger nails for another 5 minutes. You can add a few drops of lemon juice to the coconut oil for even better results to treat your brittle nails.

4. Vitamin E Oils

Vitamin E is the best moisturizer for your brittle nails. Apply a few drops of Vitamin E oil on every brittle nail and massage it for 5 minutes. The massage will improve blood circulation and Vitamin E oil will moisturize the nails. This combination will repair your brittle nails within 2-3 weeks. Apply the oil before going to bed every night.

5. Lemon Juice

This is the best home remedy for brittle nails caused by nail polish remover. In fact harsh chemicals in the nail polish remover make your nails dry and give a yellowish tinge to the nails. Over a long term use the nails become brittle and begin to chip easily.

Dip a cotton ball in lemon juice. Dab it on the affected nail and gently rub it for 2-3 minutes. In fact the nail polish remover will affect all your nails, so do it to all your nails.

Do it every time your use nail polish remover. Your nail will not become brittle and if they have then it will repair it.
