Types of Hemorrhoids: Both Types of Hemorrhoids are Easily Curable!
The types of hemorrhoids are classified based on the veins they affect. As we know hemorrhoids are caused by excessive strain on the veins in and around anus or lower rectum area.
1-Internal Type of Hemorrhoids
Internal hemorrhoids are formed when the internal hemorrhoidal veins are strained. Usually the first signs of internal type of hemorrhoids emerge when a blood stain is seen in the stool or in the toilet paper.
Pain is usually not felt in normal internal hemorrhoids. However if a blood clot is formed and gets infected then there will be pain.
Sometimes due to continuous strain the hemorrhoidal veins may stretch and protrude outside the anus. These are painful lumps. These also called prolapsed hemorrhoids. They will itch and bleed if ruptured.
Prolapsed hemorrhoids can go back inside the rectum without any effort or they can sometimes be gently pushed back inside. However, if the prolapsed hemorrhoids cannot be pushed back inside, surgical removal should be considered after consultation with doctors.
2-External Type of Hemorrhoids
Unlike the internal hemorrhoids, the external types will immediately show the signs and symptoms.
External hemorrhoids are formed when the veins around the anus get strained and swollen. These swollen veins sometimes bleed either from straining or rubbing which causes itching and pain in the anal area.
The pain can be severing if there is blood clot in the hemorrhoids. These types of external hemorrhoids with blood clot are called thrombosed external hemorrhoids.
While both types of hemorrhoids differ in their locations where they are formed, they both cause serious pain and discomfort in varying degrees. The good news is that each type of hemorrhoid can be brought under control relatively quickly. Of course some time they may require different kind of treatment depending on severity but one thing is clear- that is controlling diarrhea and constipation can go a long way in helping to deal with and prevent reoccurrence of hemorrhoids.
