1. Bananas

Bananas top the list. Antibacterial compounds in banana inhibits the growth of H. pylori bacteria that is responsible for your stomach ulcer.

Banana is easy to east, it flushes out the acidity of the gastric juices in the stomach and reduces inflammation in the stomach lining.

You can eat a banana in many different ways/

  • Eat a ripe banana every 3 hours during the day to consume 3 bananas a day
  • you can make banana milkshake with one banana and drink it 3 times a day
  • Add unripe banana in your vegetable dishes

Both ripe and unripe bananas are good to heal stomach ulcers fast.

Milk is a very deceptive food for healing ulcers. Milk instantly gives a pain relief from ulcer, however in long term milk promotes production of more acids in the stomach. So do not use milk for pain relief. Milk used in banana shake is a different story as banana flushes out the acids from the stomach.

2. Honey

Honey is antibacterial and one of its enzymes produces hydrogen peroxide in the stomach which kills bacteria H. pylori and other harmful bacteria residing in the stomach.

Honey comes in many forms and some honey can be better than the other. Quality of honey depends on the flowers around the area where the honey is made.

Local honey is the best as it is in sink with the local conditions of which you are just one part. Make sure that the honey you use is not processed. Raw honey is best.

Start with 2 tablespoon of honey a day, one tablespoon at a time in the morning and evening. As the condition improves reduce the consumption to 1 tablespoon of honey a day.

 

3. Cabbage and Carrot

Cabbage contains lactic acid and produces amino acids that improve blood flow to the stomach lining. The improved blood flow strengthens the stomach lining to heal it fast.

Carrot contain Vitamin U which is anti ulcer.

You can use cabbage alone or with combination with carrot to get faster results in healing stomach ulcers.

  • Cut 200 gms of cabbage and eat it raw by chewing it well
  • Make juice of 200 gm cabbage and drink it 2 times a day
  • Make juice of two carrots and drink it once a day
  • Make juice of 200gma of cabbage and mix it with juice of 2 carrots and drink it once a day

Within a week you will see pain reduction and experience healing.

4. Garlic

Garlic extract has shown to inhibit H. pylori bacteria in many lab results. Add garlic to your food. You can also take garlic extract capsules. Garlic is also a blood thinner so check with your doctor in your case.

5. Licorice

Licorice induces stomach to produce more protective mucus to form a coating on the stomach lining. It is this property of licorice that help treating and preventing stomach ulcers.

  • Soak one teaspoon of licorice powder in one cup of water overnight and drink it in the morning. Follow it by eating a banana for the best results.
  • YOu can also make licorice tea in warm water and drink it 2-3 times a day. Just add half teaspoon of licorice powder in a cup of boiling water. Steep it for 5 minutes and let it cool to acceptable warm temperatures. Drink it warm.
