Natural Remedies for Angina Pain Relief

Angina is a coronary artery heart disease caused by reduced blood flow to the heart due to narrowing of coronary arteries by build up of plaques. Sudden pressure, tightness, discomfort and heaviness or squeezing pain in the chest area is felt when the increased blood supply takes place through the narrowed arteries. The first and most useful home remedies for angina is to reduce intake of fatty foods. Always stay away from the food with too much cholesterol.

Light exercise like brisk walking for 40 minutes greatly help in reducing angina incidences. Aerobic exercises are also good.

Boil 2 cloves of garlic in a glass of milk and drink it. Even swallowing 2 cloves of raw garlic is equally powerful and it doesn’t leave a lingering garlic smell in the mouth.

Eating fresh Grapefruits is an excellent natural remedy for angina and other heart ailments. Daily consumption of 200 ml grapefruit juice will keep the heart healthy.

Daily consumption of juice of one lemon diluted in one glass of water is one of the simplest home remedies for angina. Lemon stops the accumulation of cholesterol in the arteries. Honey can be added for taste as honey is also an excellent home remedy for angina.

Cantaloupe juice is another cure for most angina pains. The adenosine compound found in cantaloupe helps thinning the blood.

Vegetables like Spinach Carrot and Broccoli are excellent food for treating angina. Daily helping of raw or cooked of the above vegetables will help a lot in reducing angina incidences.
