The excruciating pain does not get any relief by changing position. The intensity remains the same whether you are lying down, sitting or walking. No home remedy can work in this case. It becomes a medical emergency. If left untreated for long infection may occur in the urinary tract and there may be fever and chills.

Management of this type kidney stone pain is done by pain killers under medical supervision. X-ray is taken and depending on the size of the stone doctors decide the future course of action to remove the stone. In most cases medication take care os stone removal but in some cases surgery may be required.
