Eczema Skin Care – Easy Skin Care Tips For Eczema

Proper skin care for eczema reduces a lot of itch and discomfort. Affected skin loses natural oils from the skin due to eczema making the skin dry and flaky.

This dry skin requires regular moisturizing. Water which logically appears to be the best moisturizer doesn’t stay long on the skin, therefore other moisturizers have to be used at least 3 times a day.

Some soaps and moisturizer increase the dryness and the itch. Therefore eczema sufferers have to be very choosy about selecting their sops and moisturizers.

Most bar soaps are not suitable for eczema sufferers. Liquid cleansers are less harsh to the skin due to their chemical composition which uses milder surfactants.

Most liquid cleansers have glycerin. These products although called moisturizers don’t really moisturize the skin because its composition is water soluble. It gets washed out during rinsing leaving the skin dry.

The best liquid cleansers are Emollient rich body cleansers. The long term moisturizing effect comes because emollients are not water soluble. They don’t get washed out during rinsing. Their effect is skin deep. Sunflower oil and soybean oils are common emollients used for liquid cleansers.

So if you have eczema, check out the ingredient of your cleansers.

In addition to using correct liquid cleanser, eczema suffers must use moisturizing creams at least 3 times a day.  Make sure that your moisturizer doesn’t contain essential oils, perfumes and fragrances. These things will increase the itch.

These precautions will reduce frequency of flare-ups and you feel more comfortable.
